Haydn, as my mother would say, has "the eye". That is to say that he can visualise a design which is both elegant and efficient - art and science.

We were offered two designs for our kitchen; one, more or less what we had pictured; one, Haydn's, an inspired departure from what we expected, without question what we wanted. A year on and the kitchen is still admired by everyone who visits and is always a pleasure to use.

Hello Mel,

It goes without saying that I agree with all those lovely thank you notes in your showroom - excellent workmanship, great workers, superb product and fabulous service.

My kitchen was so small that it felt crowded with just two people in it. And the sink, although it was a standard size, seemed to dominate the room. In addition, it’s the only south-facing room in the house. So I knocked an internal wall through and the new kitchen, whilst remaining the same size, had to become an integrated part of a larger entrance area. This is because most visitors arrive at the kitchen door, so I wanted to combine a welcoming entrance with unobtrusive, modern functionality.

Quite a challenge.

I went for white gloss units that really bounce the light around and a cool granite work surface with a sleek integrated drainer. So what I have now is a bright, spacious and welcoming entrance and a classy kitchen I certainly don’t want to hide. Thank you Holme Design!
